LEE, Michael Edward (1942- )

Michael Lee started as a reporter on Austin, Texas station KHFI in 1965 and, later, worked for station WFAA there. He moved to San Francisco station KPIX-TV in 1968, where he remained until 1975.

Lee joined CBS News in 1975, later serving in Beirut before going to London in 1977 where he worked until he joined ABC News as a correspondent in 1980.

Among his awards were several from the Overseas Press Club. He also won recognition for his coverage of the Lebanese Civil War and the Iran Revolution.
